Hi, everyone. I'm Natalie. And today I'm going to show you guys a gentle yoga pose for lumbar spinal stenosis. This is a great stretch for your low back and piriformis musculature and can help relieve symptoms. If this worsens your symptoms or causes new symptoms, please discontinue and consult with your medical provider. To do this stretch, you can lie on the ground, on a yoga mat, or on your bed, whatever is the most comfortable for you.

You're going to start by lying flat, and take a big breath in. On the exhale, draw your knees towards your chest. Use your hands to pull your knees towards you, looking for a gentle stretch through the low back and hips. And we're going to hold this position for about 30 seconds to a minute, taking deep breaths during it.

When you're ready to come out of this position, take a deep breath in. And on the exhale, let your legs go back to the ground.
